character desgns + scene for class! the assignment was to design two rivals.
cheerleaders for character design class!! the assignment was to do our own spin on the five man band.
for my maps class we had to make a map of a fictional place - I chose the kitchen from Ratatouille - it’s one of my favorite movies!
commissions!!! thank you so much, everybody!
I’ve been getting interested in the world of high-school themed doll sets (things like Monster High, Ever After High) so for an individual project this semester I created one! It’s called “Astro Academy”, the characters are a variety of space creatures & aliens, except for the human (her name is Dawn!)
This was kind of a weird project for me - this definitely isn’t my usual style. I had a lot of fun doing it though, and I want to make tons of outfits for them all now!!
If you want to read about the characters and the little “story”, I put the document up on my portfolio site!
it’s Best Friends Forever’s third anniversary! apparently in anniversary tradition the 3rd year theme is “leather”?? so here is biker Teddy and
biker babe Vincent. please wear your helmets, kids…
I just want to take a moment to thank everybody again for sticking with me this year - I’ve had a lot of ups and downs but I’ve come out feeling better than ever about where I’m going with BFF. I hope you guys will be as excited for this new year’s pages & plot developments as I have been planning them! 3 years is kind of a long time for a webcomic (it seems that way to me, anyway) and I really appreciate all the support I’ve gotten from friends & fans for all this time. BFF has the best readers around, thanks so much you guys!
I almost didn’t do a new year’s drawing because I was working on the new chapter, but I drew this up quick tonight! angel told me it was year of the horse and gave me the idea for this picture~
thanks everybody who’s stuck with me & bff throughout the year! hopefully next year will bring new & better things for all of us!
for my lifestyle illustration class, the infamous “dolls” assignment - every week we had to draw referenced outfits. I used my comic characters as my models! I used a slightly different style on them to make drawing the clothes easier.
many of the outfits are from lookbook or polyvore, some are from magazines, a couple I saw on TV shows, and there’s a few I patched together myself!
(funny side note: I didn’t know that Mac Miller was a musician or whatever, I honestly thought that was a t-shirt for a water park…..oops………
side note #2: IT’S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY)
in the photoset viewer, you can Right Click-> Open Image in New Tab to see them bigger!
patience & wrath
these are actually big posters (24 x 33 inches!)
another assignment from lifestyle illustration! a concept for a zodiac series. I chose different kinds of ice-cream floats and trendy sunglasses for Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Taurus.
the big one had to be our own sign - I’m totally a Capricorn :)
good ol’ jabari is putting together this elf project at school so I drew some elves for him!!! I don’t really know too much about fantasy stuff but it was fun anyway!!
assignment from lifestyle illustration: incorporate photo-collage into our work!! at first I just had the dresses (the dresses are just edited photos) but I added the scrunchies because it made it a little more fun!
