I really liked the inks for yesterday’s page so I am posting them.
My last real class day is Tuesday so hopefully I can have some awesome sketches and stuff to post next week (because I have been BURNING to doodle all finals…)
I just found a whole mess of Gaston Lagaffe comic strips translated into English! Franquin started this series after he left Spirou but for a while both were intersecting since it took place at the newspaper where all of them worked.
I have to reblog this, everyone go read, educate yourselves, Gaston Lagaffe is MY CHILDHOOD,
I had such a crush on him when I was 13-14.. not to mention that I never see it getting any fanart or praise, despite of how hilarious the strips are. The humour might seem a bit flat in the early comics, but definitely gets better (and it’s so much fun seeing Gaston’s hair get more bounce as time passes, hehe)
I usually don’t reblog things, but these are seriously the most perfect comics. I love Franquin’s drawings and I love Gaston and Fantasio together - they are adorable and really funny. Franquin is still a huge influence on me, and reading these strips cheered me up a ton today.
It probably just looks like some gag comic but the two characters are just so cute… Look at Fantasio worrying about Gaston, wanting to take a picture of him at the sea (why are you at the beach with your office assistant!?), Gaston smiling in his sleep at Fantasio - they even go camping together…! And I can’t ignore this adorable snowball strip… ugh my heart is going to burst, they are too cute.
Definitely check these comics out, you guys!
OK, one more thing - I was going to do that art summary thing but I was like “darn it I have no art” but then I realized I’ve been drawing a webcomic for the past year

I don’t know why, but I’ve been wanting to draw this comic forever. I was going to just draw a bunch of half-dressed hot guys, but Nicole convinced me this was more effective…
I like how these inks came out… “ugly” vincent is so awkward looking dhhfdh
so my comic updated !? I really like how the poses in the middle panel came out… also I actually value-planned for once in the last panel… (and discovered that in greyscale the restaurant scene looks like some crazy noir detective movie)
COMIC UPDATE! BEST STEPBROTHERS FOREVER seriously I love John and Louis, I could do a whole other comic just on stuff I’ve come up with for those two haha
